Working as an administrator, I have been involved in understanding the needs of rural women, health being the most important and sensitive issue. Despite the efforts made by our administrative capacity, there is a real need for private doctors and specialists to help and assist the government programs. I find the efforts made by the team of “Streearogya” very relevant. I feel proud to be there from the inception of the idea and the efforts made by them to reach out to the rural women.

I will support them in continuing their sincere efforts to get specialized and Minimally Invasive technological treatment methods accessible to the rural women.

Efforts made by the team in 2023 at Womens Hospital , Dharashiv to fascilitate “Mission Anandi“ ( for prevention of breast and cervical cancer ) was very sucessful.

Dr Priya Ajay Chauhan, MD

I have 30 years of experience in practicing Gynecology and Obstetrics in Denmark, as of 2023. My father, a 90-year-old retired Indian Air Force officer, who has been the key person in my life to make me a doctor reminded me that it’s time to give back to our home country-India. I had been postponing my decision to work in India for many years, but the last few years of radical grassroot, infrastructural changes, the immense will of the Government, several corporate agencies to invest in National healthcare and digitalization of the country, I feel inspired and have realized that the time is right to return to India. I wish to integrate what I have personally gained from my experiences in Denmark to the Indian Healthcare set-up

I’m grateful to have worked in diverse settings in India including a Government Medical College (MMC&RI), a Private charitable Medical College (ARMCHRC), a Private Research Institution (St. John’s Research Institute), a Government Apex Research body (ICMR-NIRRCH), a Global Innovator-Pharma company (Novartis), an Intersectoral learning network (TBPPM) and at a non-profit Research and Advocacy organization (REACH). I wish to apply my diverse experience by joining this initiative by Dr. Priya Chauhan to improve the health of rural women in India.
